LANGS FOSSILS : LEARN ABOUT FOSSILS

The Fiddler's Green Formation (Silurian period), which we have exposed at Lang's quarry is the world's foremost eurypterid locality. Many of our finds have been placed in museums and major collections around the world, while others remain in our permanent collection and may be viewed in our online gallery. The geologic time chart, below, can be used by students to familiarize themselves with the main divisions of geologic time.

Future plans include a eurypterid museum and education center. In the meantime, we are compiling a collection of links and educational reference material, which will be made available here.
