Very beautiful large trilobite plate. The Plate has two different Russian trilobites and a cystoid. The larger trilobite is Asaphus (Neoasaphus) punctatus 4 1/8" long.
The smaller trilobite is Asaphus (Neoasaphus) cornutus and it is 3 3/8" long. The caramel-colored trilobites contrasts beautifully with light-colored limestone matrix. The bugs are well positioned on the large, natural plate of limestone. It also contains a fabulous specimens of Echinosphaerites sp., a cystoid. BBelow are three photo views. |
